The snack manufacturer Intersnack is recalling "Chio Chips" branded chips.
The reason: The wrong product was filled in some packs.
Cologne - The snack manufacturer Intersnack SE is recalling packs of the “Chio Chips” product because of an incorrectly bottled flavor.
According to a press release, around 8,600 packs were filled with "Chilli Cheese" crisps instead of "Paprika" crisps.
Chips recall: Wrong product filled
Affected by the recall is the “Chio-Chips” brand of “Red Paprika” chips, filled in 175 g bags with the batch number: LGD 41 F 02/21/2022.
The packaged goods are of perfect quality, but the spice used for the “Chilli Cheese” flavor contains the allergen milk.
This is not declared on the packaging.
Therefore, the recall is purely a precautionary measure to protect people with a milk protein allergy or lactose intolerance.
The corresponding product was sold in 159 stores of the Kaufland supermarket chain in the Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse region.
