(ANSA) - MADRID, NOV 28 - After a week, scheduled flights to La Palma, the Canary Island hit by a volcanic eruption, start again. The confirmation comes from the airline Binter, one of the most active on the routes that connect La Palmacon other places. "We normally carried out the scheduled flights this afternoon"; says Binter Air traffic has been interrupted due to the high volume of volcanic ash present in the atmosphere and on the pistes of the island's airport in recent days. Now the situation has improved, according to those in charge of the emergency anti-eruption plan of the Canary Islands.
For its part, the company that manages the Spanish airports, Aena, has announced that the airport is back to being "operational" after the "cleaning work", but it is advisable to consult the airlines to check the status of the flights given that volcanic activity continues.
