(ANSA) - PARIS, NOV 28 - A European plane from the Frontex agency will be deployed from 1 December after the shipwreck of migrants in the English Channel.
This was announced by the Minister of the French Interior, Gérald Darmanin, at the end of the meeting in Calaiscon with the ministers of Holland, Belgium and Germany, as well as with the European Commissioner for Internal Affairs.
"There are too many dead", and "we cannot accept that there are others", said Gérald Darmanin, adding: "We want to work with our British friends".
In recent days, Paris had withdrawn the invitation to the British Minister Priti Patel to attend the meeting as a sign of protest against a letter deemed "unacceptable" by Boris Johnson.
