(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 28 - "We call Russia to transparency, to reduce tensions and to de-escalate" on the Ukrainian front.

This was stated by NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference with the president of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen from Riga, stage of a brevetour in the Baltic States.

"NATO remains vigilant and reaffirms its political and practical support for the government of Ukraine", explained Stoltenberg who will chair the meeting of the Alliance's foreign ministers in Latvia on 29 November.
