The murder of a police officer led the Dortmund team of investigators on Sunday into a particularly unsavory environment: that of the pick-up artists who try to outdo each other in towing as many women as possible. The murder victim, who belonged to this "Aufreißkünstler" scene, sought women for his bed stories primarily in the vicinity of the college. Most of the time he filmed her having sex with a hidden camera. After his death, the investigators then meticulously evaluated these tapes. That is why Faber and Bönisch also targeted a young policewoman who lived with her adoptive mother in an ominous love-hate relationship.
In our review we wrote: »From the tough milieu study to the caustic testosterone-stenz satire to the enigmatic women's drama - these are simply a few genre hooks too many, so curiosity will eventually fall by the wayside.
Even the mask analogy - everyone hides in order to hide their true feelings - in the bold version only seems tiring in the end.
Which is a bit of a shame because the crazy Faber falls in love with it for the first time and just drops the mask of the cynic in order to very, very gently vie for a few pats.
At the end of the day he is so exploited and used like the colleague from the fraud department and the many women who were filmed in bed without their knowledge. "
We gave 3 out of 10 points.
What do you think of the crime thriller?
The next »crime scene« from Dortmund will be running on January 2nd.
It is titled "Greed and Fear" and is about a murder in the financial environment.
Directed by Martin Eigler, the book was written by Sönke Lars Neuwöhner.
Both had already worked together on the clever neo-noir »crime scene« »The Man Who Lies« for the Stuttgart team.
