This till trick causes a lot of stink!

An Aldi customer apparently posted her idea on social media - and got a lot of headwind for it.

Now the trick is going viral again.

Update from 11/28/2021:

The trick for the supermarket checkout goes viral again. It has been around for some time now that you can simply put your items on the belt at a large distance - and thus trick the hyper-fast cashiers. LADbible has now posted the photo on Twitter. It says "How to beat the system at AldiUK". More than 4,500 likes and more than 200 retweets in less than two days were the result. Of course, the trick causes discussions. Some find it brilliant - but one thing is clear: you shouldn't try to imitate it, because it is not particularly considerate to slow down the cashiers and thus also the other customers. And a former Aldi employee (see original message below) knows an antidote anyway.

Aldi: Bad checkout trick by the customer haunts the network - and causes trouble

Our article from September 3rd, 2021, published by tz.de:

Sydney - The cashiers at Aldi are fast.

Very fast.

For some, even too quickly.

It is not uncommon for people to get hectic when packing their goods because they are already piling up behind the cash register.

An Aldi customer has now come up with a trick to buy more time.

This is circulating on Facebook.

And brings you a powerful headwind.

Aldi customer develops trick - and gets a lot of headwind

The photo has been around in various places on Facebook since the summer (one of the many postings below).

According to the Australian website

7news.com.au

- which is of course not confirmed - it is a lady who posted the trick first.

“In your face Aldi!” She wrote about the photo.

"So that we have time to pack up!"

Their idea: they simply place the goods on the conveyor belt at a distance of around 30 centimeters.

This means that the cashier takes longer to scan it.

For the benefit of the customer.

But to the chagrin of the others who have to wait longer.

In this respect, it is no wonder that some are angry about this unnecessary egoism.

They should just put their purchases back in the car and after paying, put them in their pockets, they say.

Others also apparently attacked the customer sharply.

The supposedly clever trick creates a lot of trouble and headwinds.

Aldi: Former cashier probably knows the trick - and knows how to remedy it

But according to the report, a former Aldi employee has developed her "antidote".

"When I've worked at Aldi and people have done that, I just held the first item back from my sensor with my arm until everything has built up." So you shouldn't use the trick as a model.

Another cashier has already appealed to customers to refrain from making a nerve mistake.
