The police and the public prosecutor's office are investigating a suspected illegal vaccination campaign at Lübeck airport on the weekend.
According to its own statements, the prosecution is investigating an initial suspicion of a criminal offense under the Medicines Act.
There is a suspicion that the vaccine is not approved.
The allegations are directed against four men aged 81, 80, 74 and 61 years, as the prosecutor's spokeswoman, Ulla Hingst, said.
According to Norddeutschem Rundfunk, two retired doctors and the two airport managers Jürgen Friedel and Winfried Stöcker are among the suspects.
Waiting angry about intervention by the authorities
The latter has been making headlines for months with a vaccine developed in-house - and is therefore already being investigated for possible violations of the Medicines Act.
SPIEGEL reported that Stöcker also acted as a major donor for the partly right-wing AfD.
He kept attracting attention with racist statements.
The police and the security service of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck ended the vaccination campaign at the airport on Saturday and secured samples of the vaccine, used syringes and vaccination lists.
At the time, about 150 people willing to vaccinate were in the airport building and another 80 were in front of the building, said a police spokesman.
According to the police, those waiting were very dissatisfied with the action by the police and security service.
