for Italian customers. For 100 ml of the drug, customers, including a doctor and a university professor, were willing to spend up to 800 euros. Coded terms were used for orders: "water" was the name by which the Ghb was called, but terms such as
"Gilda" and "Mafalda"
were often used

The investigation started after the arrest of a woman of Chinese nationality in October 2020. She was stopped at Termini station with a shaboo for a value of about 20 thousand euros.
The synthetic drugs were supplied by a Chinese "wholesaler", based in Tuscany
, who organized the transport and delivery of the narcotic to Rome.
In particular, the substance arrived in the capital via Chinese couriers, which alternatively used railway vehicles or hired cars, dressed in designer clothes so as not to arouse suspicion.
