"Adam sucht Eva" on RTL 2: happy to show

2021-11-30T13:00:22.996Z

Seldom have you seen naked people jumping around uptight in front of television cameras: "Adam seeks Eve" makes people pointlessly bare again. And Gisele Oppermann also nölts without a shell, as always.

Dog trainers and nude show producers have one iron rule in common: if you always have to wag your sausages first to get attention from your target group, something fundamentally is wrong.

That is why "Adam sucht Eva", the extremely rod-rich naked mole rat society on RTL 2, is the dreary trash format of this year.

Above everything is a dull mood of despondent weariness in this bare-drawn courtship, even the genitals look sad.

The interim conclusion after three episodes, not surprisingly and somehow also relieving: the very existence of naked people - even in the current sixth season after a three-year break in format - does not fill the entire evening when you have two, three or four naked people in real life has seen.

The simple principle is still the same: little by little, eight previously unknown and eight manageable prominent people arrive on a heavenly island. While the boat is approaching, they take off their clothes in order to swim naked on land and meet their transitional galans of the opposite sex. Together they then go to the gathering quarters of all Adam and Eve, the design of which breathes the half-forced, creative, half-genuinely uninhibited flair of a student co-administration workshop, and there they see what else the display has to offer.

The first encounter on the beach is the only moment that has a certain entertainment value because of its enormous comedic rage. If you are not a wandering bird, it is impossible NOT to walk in a dromedary-like manner on a semi-loose, soft sandy beach, and of course it looks all the more amusing when the two people who are yelling meaningfully at each other are also naked, because first of all it is of course absurd and secondly, there is plenty of rocky rocking and billowing material. While they are still plowing through the sand, both of them assert that they want to look the other person in the eye, at most for a moment, very stealthily, glancing towards the loin, which is of course polite, but why then the whole nudity view, please?

Amusingly enough, the agonizing first small talk doesn't sound a bit different from the introductory talk at the beginning of every "Bachelor" or "Bachelorette" episode, when the limousine polonaise carts the lovers out.

Wouldn't all three formats be funnier if you just swapped - and with "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" everyone involved would be naked, while with "Adam sucht Eva" you stumbled around on the beach in the strange evening wear from the other two programs?

Incredibly penetrating voiceover

In any case, the nudity of "Adam and Eve" doesn't make anything more exciting, exciting or even more interesting.

You quickly realize, sleepily, that a naked Gisele Oppermann - the most prominent participant of this season, known as the company noodle of “Germany's Next Top Model” and “I'm a star, gets me out of here” - is primarily an annoying Gisele Oppermann, which repeatedly moderates itself into the crisis because of pacifier problems.

It gets really bizarre as a candidate Jay (you know him, you realize sadly and rethinking your own life decisions, as a "seducer" from "Temptation Island" and from "Ex on the Beach"), who is a civil engineer, but also a stripper, at a beach party at some point doing a classic undressing dance - just already naked.

You only feel more uncomfortable while watching when the voice-over refers to the nudity scenario in an incredibly penetrating manner: "Big eggs are already waiting in our game paradise," says the introduction to a depressing throwing game with - really - plastic eggs.

And "Sergio is VERY happy" when something dutifully annihilates.

In the early seasons, people liked to say that nudity should help everyone to be open and open-minded.

After all, this claim has production now too much shame.

Because the "Adam sucht Eva" cast may be happy to show, but it is also obdurate, yesterday's and actually uptight.

A candidate who loves yoga and meditation is ridiculed for his spirituality, moldy gender ideas and racist stereotypes are reproduced (about how "the Thai women" are like that).

Sandy and Denny in conversation: digging attempts without eggs in or outside of the pants

And when Denny suddenly becomes interested in Sandy after an advanced flirtation with Lisa, but doesn't have the balls in or out of his pants to tell Lisa, it finally becomes clear that outward openness doesn't mean anything.

Lisa sobbed out to Giuliana that he invited her "to Malle".

"Don't look," advises the servants - and by that doesn't mean Denny's genitals, but his digging attempts on Sandy.

The fact that she then spurns the renegade Denny because she finds another candidate better is only of marginal interest: "The fact is that the main focus is not on me and I am not compliant with it," says Denny.

Buttoned one has rarely seen the naked.
