But then what happened?
For more than six months, Clémence Botino has been training hard for this international competition.

Before leaving by plane this Sunday, the young woman of 24 years was first tested negative. This year's crown contenders sent her a cheering video from Reunion Island to wish her good luck. She is well, she is taken care of by the organization of Miss Universe and she is going to quarantine. And now we're crossing our fingers. Obviously it's very, very hard, we think about her a lot. ”Especially since the young woman now has symptoms, despite the fact that she is vaccinated. She loses,so already more than ten days of essential rehearsals for the Miss Universe contest on December 12.
Placed in solitary confinement for 14 days in a hotel provided for this purpose in Tel Aviv, her condition also has repercussions on the competition.
Clémence Botino had already crossed other contenders for the crown, now in contact and also isolated while awaiting the result of their PCR test.
In a snapshot shared on social networks, Miss France 2020 posed without a mask and without social distancing all smiles with Miss Mexico, Miss Albania and Miss Nicaragua.
