- The culinary contest "A cook loaned to the cinema" will take place on Tuesday 30 November, in Velletri (Rome), to remember the recipes of Ugo Tognazzi. The initiative is part of "UgoMania", a calendar of events that aims to celebrate one of the greatest interpreters of Italian comedy and created in collaboration with the Municipality of Velletri.
"A cook loaned to the cinema" foresees the involvement of twelve students from the Hotel Institute of Velletri, who will revisit some of Ugo Tognazzi's most famous recipes: Fazzoletti al Basilico, Eggs in tortillas or music paper, Risotto creamed with cuttlefish ink, Beef with bean sprouts with Andalusian gazpacho, Ravioli with walnut sauce, Baba with kiwi served with vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate.
The presence of chef Antonello Colonna is confirmed on the jury, in video link there will be Gianmarco Tognazzi.
A guided tour of the Ugo Tognazzi House Museum is scheduled for Thursday 2 December to discover and admire the professional and private memories of the actor.
The kermesse dedicated to the actor will end with a special evening, in December, at the Tognazzi Theater, the only one dedicated to him in Italy, in the presence of his sons Ricky, Gianmarco and Maria Sole Tognazzi and the municipal administrations of Velletri and Pomezia, twinned in the name of Ugo Tognazzi.
