(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 30 - The EU asks China to "provide verifiable evidence of the safety, well-being and situation of Peng Shuai", the tennis player who disappeared shortly after publishing allegations of sexual violence on Chinese social media.

Thus a statement by the spokesperson for the European External Action Service.


   "His recent public reappearance does not alleviate concerns about his safety and freedom," it reads.
