INTERVIEW - The Irish band's bassist recalls the 30th anniversary of the currently reissued masterpiece Achtung Baby and discusses the future of training.


U2 has chosen to address

on the occasion of the reissue of the album

, released in 1991. It is Adam Clayton, bassist and original member of the most democratic group in rock history, who called us directly to do it, with absolute charm and grace.

The sixty-year-old is, with Bono, The Edge and Larry Mullen Junior, the architect of a success that has not been denied for forty years.

four years earlier.

Here is a group which questioned itself, modifying in depth its approach and the sound of its music, rather than playing the card of safety.

Unliked by critics until then, the Dublin outfit has found impeccable respectability with the record and the great tour that followed, the Zoo TV Tour.

Three decades later, after a forced halt by the pandemic, the quartet contemplates its future with hope and serenity.
