(ANSA) - ROME, 01 DEC - The Joint Justice and Social Affairs commissions have approved art. 1 of the text on the "end of life" law, also based on the reformulations of some amendments.
The approved text is as follows: "This law governs the faculty of the person affected by an irreversible pathology and with a poor prognosis or by an irreversible clinical condition to request medical assistance, in order to voluntarily and independently end their life, under the conditions, within the limits and with the conditions provided for by this law and in compliance with the principles of the Constitution, the European Convention on Human Rights and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union ".
The commissions will meet again with voting after the afternoon session of the Assembly.
As far as we know, the center-right voted against, while the representatives of M5S, Pd, Leu, Misto and Iv expressed their favor.
Fdi and Lega also voted against the amendments on which they had accepted the proposed reformulations.
