(ANSA) - BOLZANO, 01 DEC - Johann Biacsics, one of the leaders of the no vax movement in Austria, died in recent days in Wiener Neustadt, near Vienna.
The 65-year-old had fallen ill with Covid and - according to the local press - would have treated himself with chlorine dioxide based cyclistries which is the active principle of bleach.
This 'alternative' treatment is widespread among no vax and was even suggested by then American President Donald Trump as a remedy.
The man, despite a positive PCR swab, was convinced that he had already defeated the disease and was opposed to hospitalization. Acasa would then undergo this treatment. Shortly after the leader no vax died. The family of the deceased, however, insists and writes on social media that even if the death "officially enters the statistics of Covid victims, we know the truth".
It is not the first case of deaths from wrong treatment against Covid in Austria.
A few weeks ago two family members died from taking a horse vermicide.
The Austrian folk nototist Ludwig Lucky Ladstaetter also died from Covid, but not from 'alternative' treatments.
In early November he had met the leader of the Austrian ultra-right eno vax convinced Herbert Kicki, who shortly afterwards, in turn, had a positive result.
