"That's how I accidentally swallowed my headphones" (Tiktok / @ iamcarliiib)
Ticket star Carly Belmer shared with her followers in tears that she had accidentally swallowed one of her Airpods headphones and was surprised to find that the headset was working out of her stomach, which she realized when she sent a voice message to the company, in which her stomach noises were heard. The 27-year-old from Boston said she accidentally swallowed one of Apple's wireless headphones - after it got confused with a painkiller.
In the original video (which was removed from Tiktuk in light of a breach of community guidelines but was re-uploaded later), podcaster and aesthetician Carly was seen crying hysterically shortly after the mistake.
She said she was just on her way to bed when she took in her hand a pack of painkillers, a glass of water and the luxury headphones.
She put in what she thought was ibuprofen and swallowed it with a little water, only then was she surprised to find that the tablet was still in her hand.
When she realized the mistake, she tried to record a voice message to her friend but very quickly realized that the headset in her stomach was still connected to her cell phone.
She shared the moments of hysteria in a variety of videos on Tiktok and said in one of them: "I share this for educational purposes. This is what happened when I got confused between my AirPods headphones and Ibuprofen. I'm here to raise awareness."

In one of the videos she told the full story: "I crawled into bed, I had 800 mg ibuprofen in one hand and my food AirPod, my left earphone, in the other hand.
I was going to go back to the place (to the AirPod case) and then I threw something in my mouth, took my water bottle, took a sip and then said to myself ‘oh, it's a little hard to get off’ and then I saw the ibuprofen still in my hand.
From there, everything was blurry because I lost it. "Carly said she tried to vomit but was unable to do so. She immediately reported it to her doctor, but went to work in the morning as usual. In her stomach.

In another video, Carly recounted that Airpods eventually left her stomach when she defecated and was not harmed.
However, she added that she did not pull it out of the toilet.
She also did an X-ray confirming that the headset is no longer in her stomach.
She said: "I have some updates - so I did an X-ray a few hours ago and it revealed that the Airpods came out of there successfully. I had a feeling it came out, but I just wanted to make sure. I did not pull out the headset but I know it came out."
Carly insisted she was not the only one to make such a mistake.
She said: "I'm not the first to do that and I will definitely not be the last, so for educational purposes, I wanted to share my journey."
Carly updates that the headset came out of it:

And the truth is that the headset is really similar to a drug

Many of her followers were amazed at the mistake and commented on the videos.
One wrote: "My throat barely allows me to swallow a small pill so Airpods? God forbid."
Another added: "I once got confused between Airfoods and Reese's snack. It was the most expensive snack ever."
Another wondered what we all think: "How can one confuse a headset with a painkiller?"
Then another came out in her defense: "An 800 mg ibuprofen pill - equivalent to two regular servings - is huge so it's easy to confuse it with Airpods if you are distracted." Inside and check if you hear.
