Who could have imagined in 2019 that a virologist would be voted Man of the Year twice in a row?
And then followed closely by an immunology researcher.
The corona pandemic is clearly reflected in the latest “Playboy” survey.
The virologist Christian Drosten has been voted Man of the Year for the second year in a row.
Drosten landed in first place with 26.6 percent of the votes, closely followed by Biontech founder Uğur Şahin (23.3 percent).
Third place went to moderator Günther Jauch with 16.7 percent, the magazine announced.
For the Germans, Drosten is "the man with the greatest social merit nationwide," according to the "Playboy".
The poll was carried out by polling institute Nostrat between October 20th and 27th.
A total of 1001 representatively selected people were asked about Germany's men in 2021.
According to the survey, the respondents voted the upcoming Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) with 46.5 percent of the votes as the most influential man for the year 2022. Second place went to finance minister-designate Christian Lindner (FDP), who received 15.4 percent of the votes , followed by future Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck (Greens) with 12.6 percent.
This is where the coming government of the traffic light coalition is reflected.
On the other hand, the musician Michael Wendler (45.1 percent) annoyed the respondents the most.
In second and third place in this category are the ex-chancellor candidate of the Union, Armin Laschet (40.6 percent), and health minister Jens Spahn (34.1 percent).
