The announcement gave the Covid-19 vaccination booster campaign a big boost.
Since the speech of the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, last Thursday, 4.5 million people have made an appointment on Doctolib to take their third dose.
This represents a quarter of those eligible for the booster at that time - that is, having been vaccinated at least five months earlier.
During his speech, Olivier Véran said that the reminder was open to all adults, but also that the health pass would be deactivated for people over 18 years old from January 15 if their initial vaccination was older than seven months.
1.2 million from day one
As a result, in the hour and a half that followed, 350,000 appointments were made on the platform, which quickly found itself overloaded.
In all, that day, 1.2 million people signed up for their recall via Doctolib.

If this rush slowed down slightly in the days that followed, demand remained very strong, with nearly a million meetings this weekend.
To reach, therefore, 4.5 million this Wednesday.
Until last week, the vaccine booster was only supposed to have an impact on the health pass of 65 years and over from December 15.
