(ANSA) - LONDON, 01 DEC - Alert moments today at the entrance to the Palace of Westminster, seat of the British Parliament in the heart of London.
A man was arrested by the police after trying to climb over the fence of the courtyard that surrounds him, at Carriage Gate, with intentions not yet clear.
The intruder was paralyzed by an agent of the Metropolitan Police (Scotland Yard) assigned to the surveillance of the buildings of power through the shock of an electric gun and immediately taken away, some witnesses to the media said;
while Scotland Yard itself was quick to make it known that at the moment it does not believe that the episode has anything to do with terrorism.
