Sofia Goggia was the fastest in the first timed trial of the women's downhill in Lake Louise, scheduled for Friday 3 December.
The Olympic champion stopped the clock on a time of 1'51 "96 and precedes the Slovenian Ilka Stuhec by 30 cents third position for the Swiss Joana Haelen, who is 58 cents behind.
Good news also comes from the other blue: Francesca Marsaglia, who on the Canadian track obtained her only career podium in the cup, is sixth at 1 ″ 15, followed by the returning Nicol Delago, ninth at 1 ″ 25.
Followed by Nadia Delago fifteenth at 1 ″ 70, Elena Curtoni sixteenth at 1 ″ 75, while Federica Brignone accuses 2 ″ 24, Roberta Melesi 8 ″ 41 and Karoline Pichler at 4 ″ 84.
The second official training session will take place tomorrow, starting at 20.30 Italian time.
