They sat together in the evening with beer, coffee and cinnamon rolls and watched football: In the Danish region of North Jutland around the city of Aalborg, 25 employees and six Ikea customers had to spend the night on beds and sofas in the furniture store, as the public broadcaster DR reported.
A blizzard had prevented her from going home.
Customer Michelle Barret said: "Everyone was just so cute and we just laughed at the situation because we probably won't see it again."
Thunderstorms of snow covered large parts of Denmark on Thursday night.
It snowed heavily both in the capital Copenhagen and in other parts of the country.
In many places there were traffic problems, trains failed and so did the power supply.
Around 300 air travelers also had to wait overnight at Aalborg Airport because of the snow storm.
There were also problems elsewhere in the country: On the Storebælt Bridge between the islands of Funen and Zealand, the tarpaulin of a truck loaded with parcels tore open during the night in the wake of the storm, as pictures from TV2 showed.
“The semi-trailer was hanging over the water.
So I actually believe that some Christmas presents ended up in the water, "said a police spokesman for the station.
There were no injuries.
