It is the mission of the Amplifon Onlus Foundation born in 2020 during the pandemic, which inevitably influenced its first steps, so much so that it immediately found itself proposing concrete actions to combat the health emergency and the isolation caused by it.
In March 2020, the Foundation made a guarantee fund available to allow the Buzzi Foundation of Milan to purchase medical equipment for the children's hospital.
The same resources were used to modernize the Otolaryngology department for the care of pediatric audiology.
The digitalization and connection project 'Ciao!' it is instead dedicated to the elderly. During the pandemic, innovative teleconferencing systems were installed in retirement homes in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan to allow guests to be closer to their families. From this experience, 'Ciao!' Was born, with the aim of providing the elderly of the RSAs with a schedule, with cultural and entertainment proposals. Thus were born the concerts of LaFil, the Milan Philharmonic, the lessons of Silver Yoga, with MondoYoga, and the appointments with the theater of the Gino Franzi Company. "We have activated two projects, the first of remote monitoring for the elderly, the over 85, at home also with the involvement of our employees - explained Maria Cristina Ferradini,Chief Executive Officer of the Amplifon Foundation -. It's Hello! ' that transmits contents that serve to overcome not only isolation but also loneliness ". Today there are about 8,000 elderly people who are involved every week in entertainment activities built for them by the Amplifon Foundation.
