, one of the leaders of the no vax movement in Austria,
died a few days ago in Wiener Neustadt, near Vienna
.
The 65-year-old had fallen ill with Covid and - according to the local press - would have been treated with enemas based on chlorine dioxide which is the active ingredient of bleach.
This 'alternative' treatment is widespread among the no vax and was also suggested by then US President Donald Trump as a remedy.
The man, despite a positive PCR swab, was convinced that he had already defeated the disease and was opposed to hospitalization. At home he would then undergo this treatment. Shortly thereafter the leader no vax died. The family of the deceased, however, insists and writes on social media that even if the death "officially enters the statistics of Covid victims, we know the truth".
It is not the first case of deaths from wrong treatments against Covid in Austria.
A few weeks ago, two family members died from taking a horse vermicide.
The well-known Austrian folk singer Ludwig Lucky Ladstaetter also died from Covid, but not from 'alternative' treatments.
In early November he had met the leader of the Austrian ultra-right and no vax convinced Herbert Kicki, who shortly afterwards, in turn, tested positive.
