(ANSA) - PARIS, 02 DEC - YouTube has decided not to withdraw "immediately" the video in which the French far-right polemicist, Eric Zemmour, announces his candidacy for the Elysée for 2022, with respect to the problems linked to the rights of 'author.
Youtube, on the other hand, has banned the video to minors under the age of 18 due to images deemed violent.
The platform, owned by Google, reported, in particular, to France Presse that it "does not have the possibility on the basis of European law to immediately withdraw this video for copyright infringement".
A dozen media and production companies, including LeParisien - a newspaper that also makes films - and the film distributor Gaumont, had filed a complaint for copyright infringement after the publication of Zemmour's video, asking Youtube to withdraw it.
