(ANSA) - ROME, 02 DEC - San Ginesio, in the province of Macerata, has been chosen by the OMT as the "best tourist village" in Italy.
The announcement took place a little while ago during the assembly of the United Nations Tourism Organization.
"It is with particular pride - observes the Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia - that a small Italian municipality, which has been more affected by the earthquake in the past, has been indicated by the OMT as the best tourist village. A choice - adds the minister - which aims to enhance places less known, places of the heart, but equally full of history, traditions, culture. Territories that confirm us as Italy to be discovered ".
