(ANSA) - ROME, 02 DEC - The Democratic Party, signed by Senators Dario Parrini, Luigi Zanda and Gianclaudio Bressa, has filed a draft of the constitutional law that modifies articles 85 and 88 of the Constitution and prohibits the re-election of the president of the Republic.
In article 1 of the bill it is requested to add to the first paragraph of article 85 of the Constitution that the President of the Republic "cannot be re-elected".
Article 2 of the bill asks to repeal the second sentence of article 88, or the blank semester when the president of the Republic cannot dissolve the Chambers or one of them in the last six months of his mandate.
