In Schleswig-Holstein, the police searched numerous apartments and buildings on suspicion of child pornography.
The operation was directed against 19 suspects between the ages of 18 and 50 who are said to have owned child pornographic material.
According to the police, there is no connection between the individual cases.
According to the officials, in some cases it is still unclear whether the accused obtained the files willfully or whether they were sent to their electronic devices inadvertently because of their membership in messenger chat groups.
The searches took place in 13 locations, mainly in the south and west of Schleswig-Holstein.
The officers confiscated numerous storage media but did not arrest anyone.
