(ANSA) - GENEVA, 02 DEC - The UN asks for a record of 41 billion dollars for 2022 to meet the growing need for aid around the world at a time when the Covid epidemic continues to spread and climate change and conflicts push more and more people to the brink of hardship.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that 274 million people in the world - one in 29 - will need some form of emergency assistance next year.
Lasomma represents a 17% increase from the record of 35 billion requested for this year.
