Damascus University and the Financial and Accounting Professions Syndicate today signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at raising the scientific and practical level of the graduates of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Damascus and developing joint cooperation in the fields of research, training, development, knowledge dissemination and community service.
According to the memorandum signed by Dr. Muhammad Yasar Abdeen, President of Damascus University, and Dr. Muhammad Imad Drakzanli, President of the Damascus Branch of the Syndicate of Financial and Accounting Professions, the two sides will cooperate in the field of holding training courses, educational seminars, joint workshops and specialized conferences in the fields of economics, accounting, administrative development, financial and auditing.
Under the terms of the memorandum, the Syndicate provides graduate students with a database to conduct research, studies and questionnaires that they need in their studies, while Damascus University is committed to providing the appropriate halls and auditoriums for holding workshops and training courses, as well as the participation of faculty members at the Faculty of Economics in studies and consultations carried out by the Syndicate for public or private institutions. And conduct joint field research to address the problems of the public or private sector.
The two sides also agreed to establish specialized professional masters, so that the union undertakes vocational training and the University of Damascus in the organizational aspect, including administrative and financial matters, the collection of fees, and the determination of the aspects of spending on program management and those charged with teaching and training, as well as defining the scientific subject, teaching, examination and issuing the necessary certificates.
