Aberto's breakfast - to feel on vacation without paying for a hotel
The breakfast of the Aberto restaurant in Gedera provides a perfect escape of a few hours from everyday reality thanks to a pastoral garden and a rich buffet that will give you an atmosphere of freedom, and if you are already in the area, we have one more sweet recommendation

The beloved breakfasts, which almost became extinct during the period of survival that the Corona imposed on the world of restaurants, are returning to our lives in a storm, and how much we have been waiting for them.
This time we set out on a sunny and pleasant morning outside the center's borders a little to the south (half an hour from Tel Aviv), to the Aberto restaurant at the Lear Sense boutique hotel in Gedera.
The Leir Sense boutique hotel and spa, which opened about two years ago, is the first hotel to open in Gedera, but even before it was officially opened for guests, the Aberto restaurant already operated there.
From day one until before the outbreak of the corona plague, Chef Assaf Stern, who only recently replaced Chef Aviv Moshe at Mesa Restaurant, had confidence in the kitchen.
Today the restaurant is not defined as a chef's restaurant, but it is open for lunch and dinner and in recent days has returned as expected to serve breakfast.

Go on vacation for a few hours of life.

The beauty and charm of hotel breakfasts is that even if you are not staying in one of the rooms, the feeling of vacation accompanies you throughout the meal.
We were greeted by the hotel's pastoral and beautiful garden.
A plant that climbs in bright green with its tufts sheltered on tables and chairs that are pleasant to relax in for a short time, straw-braided armchairs under white umbrellas and a bunk bed, make you want to stop everything and enjoy the mesmerizing tranquility and calm atmosphere that this garden inspires at everyone who enters its gates.
And if until now the feeling of freedom in the air did not rest on you, then it will come with the buffet.
Because this is not a real vacation without a table rich in vegetables, cheeses and pickled fish that you can fill your plate with over and over again until it is no longer possible.
Variety and fresh.

The buffet of the Aberto restaurant is not huge and it's good that way. Between five and six different types of salads were placed on it, all very fresh and making you want to go back and take them at least one more time. As requested, a large and varied cheese plate is placed next to them, pickled salmon, a rich antipasti platter, a savory pastry with spinach and cheeses, various spreads, yeast pastries filled with cheese and chocolate, a stand of muesli and carrot and orange juice, where you can fill your glasses to your heart's content.
As soon as you sit down at the table, you can order a hot drink from the waiters, and a basket of bread, including brioches, sourdough breads and small rolls, is placed on the table.
From the menu you can choose one of six dishes: a man-made croquette bread with chestnut mushroom doxel and hollandaise sauce; Sabih croissant stuffed with hard-boiled egg, tehini and eggplant and potato slices; Spicy shashlik; Egg of your personal choice with toppings; French toast from brioche served with maple and whipped cream also has an option for a vegan omelet with toppings made from orange lentil flour.
The cost of the meal is 120 shekels per diner Sunday to Friday from 8:00 to 10:30 and if you are looking for a light escape from the daily madness or you want to take a morning of vacation even without booking a room in a luxury boutique hotel, breakfast at Aberto will provide you with pleasant escapism.
But we have another pleasant and tasty surprise later on.

If you want to continue the fun a little longer and maybe also stock up on wonderful sourdough breads and pastries, a few steps from the hotel towards the entertainment street, there is a lovely bakery called the entertainment corner.
About a month ago, the local bakery changed owners and the one who took on the role of baker was the confectioner Yoav Bleichman, whom we told you about two years ago, when he had confidence in the bakery's excellent pastries and sandwiches at the Lucena restaurant at Emunim Junction.
Bleichman's golden hands provide a variety of high-class sourdough breads such as rustic bread with kernels, spelled bread with or without cranberries, more compressed Scandinavian, lighter French and more. Bleichman also prepares a variety of cookies, cakes, croissants and in honor of Hanukkah also soft and cloudy donuts, baked from spelled flour filled with caramel, chocolate or jam. It is recommended to stock up on some breads and pastries to continue the fun a little longer and you can also sit there for a cup of coffee with one of the pastries or sandwiches that are prepared instead of sourdough breads.
