Since November 29, the closure of classes in primary schools no longer occurs from the first case of Covid detected in a student.
The consequence was immediate.
This week, 4,578 out of 527,000 classes were closed compared to 8,890 the previous week.
With the change in protocol and the end of class closures at the slightest positive case, the number of classes closed this week logically drops significantly compared to the previous week (4,578 versus 8,890).

This new protocol provides that if a positive case is detected in a class, other students who test negative can continue to come to class.
In detail, 33,550 cases were confirmed this week among students (or 0.27% of total students) and 2,145 among staff.
This number of cases is up sharply compared to the previous week with 21,976 cases among students and 1,562 among staff.
In total, 38 school structures including 36 primary schools and two colleges were completely closed.
At the same time, these new procedures also explain an increase in the saliva tests carried out: 227,717 between 22 and 29 November, against 190,487 the previous week.
In addition, 6th grade students have been encouraged since Monday to carry out two self-tests per week, the ministry justifying this measure by the fact that the children in these classes are under 12 years old and are not vaccinated.
