Didier Raoult reacts to the blame inflicted by the Order of Physicians: "I can continue to do my job"

I can continue to do my job and the Council of the Order does not disavow itself ”, reacted to the Parisian-Today in France this Friday evening Didier Raoult, in a tone of appeasement of which this scientist and doctor is little customary.

The disciplinary chamber of the Order of Physicians has, however, just imposed a "blame" on him for having violated several articles of the code of ethics of the profession.

“Inconsiderate risks” for patients, promotion of a drug “without established scientific data”, which is akin to “charlatanism”, lack of fraternity: Professor Raoult, 69, was facing a sanction that could range from one simple warning to radiation, which would have prohibited him from continuing to practice medicine.

"If this can bring peace, it is good", also reacted the one who still heads the University Hospital Institute (IHU) of Marseille, but who was retired on September 1 from his hospital functions within Marseille hospitals (AP-HM).

In concrete terms, he therefore no longer exercises medical activity within IHU.

The disciplinary chamber of the New Aquitaine Order of Physicians, where the hearing had been disoriented far from Marseille, has not published its motivations, which it will reserve for lawyers, for having pronounced this sanction.
