COURMAYEUR - Everything is ready for those who love skiing: most of the ski lifts are already bringing skiers and mountain enthusiasts to the top, even if the ski season in the Alpine and Apennine areas officially opens from 4 December. The unknowns still remain about the limitations caused by the health emergency, which is why some rules have been established to guarantee safe skiing holidays: it is necessary to wear a mask and show the green pass from 12 years upwards at the access turnstiles of cable cars, cable cars, chairlifts and ski lifts. If the region where you ski is in the yellow band, the reinforced green pass is activated from 6 December to 15 January, which is valid for vaccinated or recovered and not for those who just swab. It is always recommended to purchase tickets and season tickets online and,on the initiative of Dolomiti Superski, the possibility is being studied of creating an app for all ski areas that automatically activates the ski pass for those in possession of the green certificate. The Alto.Ski app was also born, an application that allows skiers to have a single ski pass - Starpass - to be used in multiple locations, to skip the queues at the ticket office and to avoid paying for ski passes in advance. Specifically, skiers will pay only for the actual time spent on the slopes with the "pay per use" formula. For now the app is distributed in 14 of the most famous Italian ski resorts in the Monterosa Ski, Livigno, Aprica, Madonna di Campiglio, Skiworld Ahrntal, Folgarida / Marilleva, Pejo and Folgaria ski areas. Plans of Bobbio, Ponte di Legno, Bormio,La Thuile and Bardonecchia. Another novelty is the collaboration between Dolomiti Superski and Telepass which allows you to buy a ski pass without queuing up and without going through the ticket office and the cost is charged to the Telepass account at the end of the month. The initiative is valid for now in the 12 ski resorts of the districts between Alto Adige, Trentino and Veneto. The green pass must in any case be previously validated through the app.The green pass must in any case be previously validated through the app.The green pass must in any case be previously validated through the app.

From January 1, 2022, other mandatory rules also come into force: helmets for those under 18, insurance, priority on the slopes and greater controls on the use of alcohol and drugs.

Here are some of the main news from the Aosta Valley to South Tyrol. You have been skiing for weeks on the Italian side of the Cervino Ski Paradise area, in the Aosta Valley. The Plan Maison, Fornet and Bontadini chairlifts are open in the Plan Maison ski area, at 2,500 meters above sea level, thus expanding the offer for ski enthusiasts. On the Alta Valtournenche you can also ski beyond the Italian-Swiss border, along the large Cervinia-Valtournenche-Zermatt area. The region offers a single ticket to ski on all the ski areas from La Thuile to Courmayeur, from Pila to Gressoney, allowing the skier to choose the destination according to their tastes, the quality of the snow and the weather conditions. In Courmayeur thecableway of the same name remains in operation every evening until midnight for the high-altitude après-ski.

The Panoramica Druscié, on the other hand, is a new blue run that connects Rumerlo, in the Caminetto area, to the intermediate station of the cable car that climbs from Cortina to Col Druscié. The Son dei Prade-Bai de Dones facility is also new, connecting the two districts of Tofana and Lagazuoi. In the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta ski area, the new Fortini-Pradalago 10-seater low-energy cable car comes into operation.

New tracks for beginners and children, such as the Orsetto Bianco slope, are planned in the Paganella area and on Monte Bondone with two new moving walkways on the Cordela slope. Here too, a new online sales system for ski passes with a rechargeable card has been introduced.

In the Val di Sole and in the Pontedilegno-Tonale Consortium, the Capanna Presena, Panorama 3000 Glacier, Passo Paradiso and Malga Valbiolo huts become "green" with renewable sources, plastic free and a food and wine proposal with local, organic and quality products.
