At his death, which occurred on January 10, 2016 in New York, David Bowie had left very precise instructions as to his discographic legacy.
A first box set covering the period 1969-1973 was released in September 2015. Another followed the following year (1974-1976).
The recordings of the so-called “European” period were brought together in 2017 under the title
A New Career in A New Town
and then the controversial albums of the 1980s the following year.
