Two people were killed in a house fire in the small town of Treuenbrietzen in Brandenburg.
The fire brigade found the two bodies during the extinguishing work.
You have not yet been identified, said a police spokeswoman.
Presumably, however, it is about the two residents of the house.
Local residents brought to safety
The family house was reportedly completely on fire.
The roof structure has partially collapsed, only the burned beams are still standing, the spokeswoman said.
According to this, some residents had to be brought to safety and stayed with friends.
A neighboring house was also damaged as a result of the fire and is currently not habitable, it said.
The criminal police are investigating the cause of the fire and the circumstances.
At the scene of the fire, the emergency pastoral care took care of relatives and those affected.
Treuenbrietzen has almost 8,000 inhabitants, it is about 50 kilometers southwest of Potsdam.
