Four Syrian teams qualified for the international university programming competition after obtaining advanced positions in the regional final of the programming competition for university colleges in the Arab world and Africa “ACPC” for the year 2021, which was organized yesterday and today. .
According to a statement by the organizing committee of the competition at Damascus University, SANA received a copy of it this evening: The qualified Syrian teams represent the universities of “Damascus, Al-Baath, Tishreen and the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology” at the rate of one team from each university.
The youth team of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in Informatics also won the gold medal and the championship cup in the ACPC Teens competition held on the sidelines of the official competition.
The competition, in which a group of university students, programmers, trainers and academics working in the field of informatics in the Arab world participated, lasted five continuous hours today and included high-level programming issues.
The competition is called the “War of Minds.” It is more than just an academic and technological competition, as it has become the basis for building a more cooperative global information society. The participants are not only required to solve problems, but also to devise smart and effective ways to solve.
