Melanie Wilmoth, a regular customer of Chinese shopping site Shane, was thrilled by the ever-expanding pair of jeans and invited a pair, but instead of getting jeans that looked like she was promised in the photos - she was given jeans that made her feet look like fins or penguin legs .
Melanie, a personal trainer from Arizona, decided that the trendy pants inspired by the 70s would be a vital addition to her wardrobe. She turned to the shopping site that offers one of the largest arrays of clothing and accessories, with hundreds of new collections being added daily. After scrolling through countless options, she found the perfect pair of jeans for her and placed the order. A few days later the courier arrived with light blue jeans in a high cut, however Shane seems to have a lot of raw material left because her new jeans look like they will only fit someone who is more than two meters tall.
She posted on Tiktok (on her account melaniewilmoth3) her wardrobe accident - when the extra fabric seemed to give her huge penguin legs.
Unsatisfied with her purchase, she wrote: "Shane, your days are numbered!"

While in the responses some of the surfers sympathized with her disappointment, others were quick to point out the mistake she made.
"Honey, lift the sleeves of the pants up and it will look exactly like the picture," one wrote to her and another added: "So we all agree that the problem is with her and not with the pants?".

Others wondered why she chose these pants in the first place: "I want to know why of all the possible pants, you saw these and said yes, is that what I want?", One article and another added: "Your first mistake was to think these pants were cute."
Melanie has released sequels in which she tries the surfers' advice and finally manages to put the pants on properly, but she also admits that this purchase was a mistake and that it is not her style.
