Hard Documentation of a Sheep Killing Horse (REDDIT)

A video that recently resurfaced on the net and reveals a side we did not know about the horses is provoking shocked reactions. In the short section, a horse is seen raging as he throws a helpless sheep in the air, throws it to the ground hard and kills it. During the attack, one person is seen holding a stick and trying to calm the aggressive horse. Later the horse repeats the abuse over and over again, with the sheep's wool appearing soaked in blood.

In a video that is not known where it was first filmed and published back in 2019 but returned to arousing hysteria on the net after it appeared on REDDIT last week, the wild horse is seen raging when two men approach it hesitantly in order to calm it down. The horse appears to surround the wounded sheep, lifting it in the air and throwing it to the ground, an action it repeats even after the sheep has died. At some point the blood-soaked sheep wool around her head and neck can be clearly seen.

Viewers were left stunned at the sight of the horse's actions, as horses are generally perceived as obedient rather than aggressive.

Several viewers suggested that it was a stud horse that was protecting its territory, while others assumed it was a mare protecting its foal.

It is known in the wild that dominant wild horses can be aggressive if they feel threatened - although attacks like the one documented are rare.

A site specializing in horses, Horseracingsense, tried to explain: "Wild horses can attack humans, but they rarely do. They are predators and his first instinct is to escape danger. However, horses and studs separated from their herd can be aggressive. When horses feel "They are threatened and have no place to retreat - they will attack."

The documentation has been running online since 2019:

Many of those who responded to the video were quick to point out that the documentation is a devastating reminder of the raw power that horses have.

One user wrote: "It proves how strong horses are. This sheep may weigh about 90 pounds and the horse swings it like nothing."

One person wrote: "I know a horse is a strong and big animal - and yet! This sheep is nothing more than a rag doll for him."

Another respondent added: "It's crazy. It really shows how much damage a horse can do if he really wants to."

Others have speculated about the sex of the horse against the background of the poor quality of the clip.

One wrote: "It is definitely a stud horse, but I have never seen such strange behavior."

Another wrote: "There is no doubt that this is a mare who protects her foal from an impending threat."
