(ANSA) - NEW YORK, DECEMBER 06 - The CEO of the mortgage company Better.com has fired 900 employees via Zoom. Vishal Garg has announced that the company will leave about 9% of its workforce at home shortly before the end of the year, and has done so with a remote group call. "If you are in this call, you are part of the unfortunate group that is licensed - said Garg according to a recording released by CNN - Your employment here is terminated with immediate effect". So he said employees could get an email from HR with more details.
Among the causes with which the CEO has motivated the decision there are alleged problems related to performance and productivity: Garg also accused employees of "stealing" from their colleagues and customers by being unproductive and working only two hours a day.
