The National Union of Syrian Students and the Syrian International Islamic Bank signed today the executive memorandum of the joint cooperation agreement with the aim of establishing free training programs for students within the Center for Student Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, which was recently opened by the Union in cooperation with the University of Damascus and the Syrian Association for Young Entrepreneurs in the Martyr Basil Al-Assad University City in Damascus.

In a statement to the media following the signing of the memorandum, the President of the Union, Darren Suleiman, explained that the memorandum comes as a continuation of the steps of the Union in the field of leadership, support for young talents and training by launching a set of diplomas with international programs in multiple disciplines within the Center for Empowerment and Student Entrepreneurship, indicating that they include (planning, leadership, accounting, financial analysis and studies Economic feasibility, international shipping industry, translation, web design, graphic design, video editing, visual effects, smart phone application development, etc..).

In turn, the CEO of the Bank Bashar Al-Sit stressed the need to support students and bring them closer to practical reality and help them to apply the theoretical knowledge they acquired during the study period in a practical application, which makes them obtain a greater and broader understanding of their specializations so that they are more creative and proficient and helps them to identify the nature of the labor market and its needs, indicating that the sector Education occupies a distinct and special position within the Bank's work agenda in the field of social responsibility.

The President of Damascus University, Dr. Muhammad Yasar Abdeen, pointed out that the memorandum responds to the requirements of the current stage in order to activate the work of young people in the local market and preserve them within the country.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Young Entrepreneurs Association, Louay Al-Munajjid, explained that the Center for Student Empowerment and Entrepreneurship contributes, through the courses it provides, to transforming students and youth from job seekers to job creators, helping them to overcome difficult economic conditions and alleviating the financial burdens imposed on them and their families, thus facilitating their entry into a world Entrepreneurship and success in this field as quickly as possible.

It is noteworthy that the Syria International Islamic Bank was established with a capital of 5 billion pounds and raised to 15 billion pounds and began providing its banking services in the third quarter of 2007.
