(ANSA) - BEIJING, DECEMBER 07 - China condemns the US 'diplomatic boycott' at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, calling it "ideological prejudice", reiterating its "firm opposition" and threatening countermeasures.
"It is a violation of political neutrality in sport," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian, on the Biden administration's decision not to send representatives to Beijing 2022 for human rights violations.
"The US attempt to interfere with the Beijing Winter Olympics out of ideological bias, based on lies and rumors, will only expose its sinister intentions," added Zhao.
