The pressure is being felt in hospitals in the Paca region.

After Lyon or the Grand Est, the White Plan was triggered in hospitals in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in the face of epidemic pressure, the Regional Health Agency announced on Tuesday, calling on available caregivers to come and lend help.

"Given the situation, we are raising our level of vigilance and triggering level 2 of the White plan in order to best prepare the AP-HM to cope with the expected increase in the number of Covid patients in Marseille", perhaps we read on the AP-HM website, whereas since the end of the 4th wave, the region was classified level 1.

Without speaking of deprogramming, the ARS activated this White plan so that public and private hospital structures “gradually and proportionately adapt their organizations”.

And she launches an appeal "to all voluntary health professionals (students, retirees, liberal, employees ...) of the Paca region to come in support of the nursing teams at the hospital".

Extending the measure

With an incidence greater than 420 per 100,000 inhabitants and a positivity rate exceeding 6.5%, "the epidemic dynamics now significantly impact the hospital organizations in the territory", explained the ARS Paca in a press release.

The measure, announced this Tuesday morning for the Marseille metropolitan area alone, is therefore extended to the entire region this afternoon.

In Marseille hospitals, 140 patients were hospitalized for Covid-19 on Monday evening, including 36 in intensive care, the AP-HM said on its website.

Last week, the Strasbourg University Hospital and the Colmar and Mulhouse hospitals, in the Grand Est region, launched their White Plan.

On Monday, the Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL) had followed suit.
