Won 2007, guest in 2021: Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck at the Oscar awards

The script for the Stasi drama "The Lives of Others" by Oscar winner Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck made it onto the list of 101 "best scripts" of the current century.
The Writers Guild of America announced the selection of scripts from the past 20 years on Monday.
The members of the renowned US authors' union voted the horror thriller »Get Out« (2017) by Oscar winner Jordan Peele to be first.
On the other places follow »Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind« (2004), »The Social Network« (2010), »Parasite« (2019), »No Country for Old Men« (2007) and »Moonlight« (2016) , all of which had also been awarded a screenplay Oscar.
The German thriller »The Lives of Others« (2006) came 52nd.
Henckel von Donnersmarck's directorial debut, based on his own script, won an Oscar in 2007 in the non-English language film category.
Writer and director Christopher Nolan made it onto the list of 101 selected scripts four times, including »Memento« and »The Dark Knight«.
Quentin Tarantino's scripts “Inglourious Basterds”, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Django Unchained” are listed, as well as several scripts by Alfonso Cuarón (“Roma”), Paul Thomas Anderson (“There Will Be Blood”) and the Coen -Brothers ("Inside Llewyn Davis").
Authors such as Chloe Zhao ("Nomadland"), Greta Gerwig ("Lady Bird") and Emerald Fennell ("Promising Young Woman") are also represented.
