The Prosecutor's Office for minors of Bologna concluded the investigation and asked for immediate judgment for the 16-year-old accused of killing her peer Chiara Gualzetti, who was beaten and stabbed at the foot of the abbey of Monteveglio, not far from home, on 27 June.

According to the results of a psychiatric report filed at the beginning of November, when he killed Chiara Gualzetti, the young man, with whom the student had an appointment on the morning of June 27 in the park of the Abbey of Monteveglio in Valsamoggia (Bologna), was able to understand and want. No voice prompted him to stab his peer, no demon made him raise the blade of the knife against her. The versions that the boy, at the same age as the victim, provided to the carabinieri, who a few hours after the crime asked him to reconstruct that last appointment with Chiara, as well as from the elements gathered from the investigations, coordinated by the prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office for minors Simone Purgato, would also have been obscured by this report.
According to the accusation, the day before the murder, he made an appointment with Chiara to see each other: he went to pick her up at home and they went together to the park of the Abbey, not far from the student's house.
Their last walk, that summer morning, was documented in a video.
In the green area the boy, as the investigations reconstructed, hit and fatally wounded her with a knife, which he had in his backpack, and attacked her with kicks and punches.
The girl's parents, having no news of her and finding the cell phone turned off, immediately began to look for her, mobilizing, in a few hours, the community of the country and beyond.
