After the hospitals of Lyon and those of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, the hospitals of Île-de-France will trigger the White Plan on Thursday, in order to face the epidemic pressure of Covid-19, announces the ARS Île-de-France Wednesday evening.
This White plan should allow hospitals to increase the number of critical care and medical beds for Covid patients.
"The increase in incidence has accelerated in recent weeks, from 101.7 cases per 100,000 on November 17 to 446 cases per 100,000 currently", justifies the Regional Health Agency.
“As for the hospital situation, the dynamic is clearly on the rise but remains for the moment more favorable than during the first four waves thanks to the vaccination coverage (86% of eligible Ile-de-France residents have a complete vaccination schedule).
"
Increasingly strong tension
“The tension has increased for several days with currently 1,188 Covid-19 patients in conventional hospitalization (530 at the end of October) and 505 in critical care (265 at the end of October).
The majority of patients are not vaccinated, ”continued the ARS in a press release.
At the same time, the agency announces that it has reactivated “the regional unit to support intraregional transfers of patients in critical care as well as the HR reinforcement unit and the regional bed management unit in order to support establishments in the management of flows. of patients ”.
Last week, the Strasbourg University Hospital and the Colmar and Mulhouse hospitals, in the Grand Est region, launched their White Plan.
On Monday, the Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL) followed suit, as did the hospitals in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region on Tuesday.
