The Christmas tree in front of the New York headquarters of the conservative US broadcaster Fox News in New York City has partially burned down.
A man is said to have set him on fire.
According to police, the suspect was arrested after the incident in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday night and, among other things, accused of arson.
According to matching US media reports, he is said to be a 49-year-old homeless man.
Pictures and videos showed how the several meters high artificial tree, decorated with numerous lights, was partially in flames at night.
The background to the fact is still unclear.
The headquarters of Fox News is not far from the Rockefeller Center, in front of which the most famous New York Christmas tree shines every year.
