The Australian Open has announced the male and female entry list for the first Grand Slam of the 2022 season, scheduled from 17 to 30 January.
Nine Italians were admitted to the men's singles draw, while two Italians were admitted to the women's tournament.
Already certain of a place in the main draw Matteo Berrettini (number 7 ATP), Jannik Sinner (no.10), Lorenzo Sonego (no.27), Fabio Fognini (no.37), Lorenzo Musetti (no.59), Gianluca Mager (b.62), Stefano Travaglia (b.78), Marco Cecchinato (b.100) and Andreas Seppi (b.102).
In the women's singles, Camila Giorgi (number 34 WTA) and Jasmine Paolini were admitted directly to the main draw.
