Mario et Lapin Peach vont devoir s’unir pour sauver les Sparks menacés par la terrifiante Cursa. L’aventure promet d’être exaltante : découverte de mondes merveilleux, rencontres avec des peuples étonnants et utilisation des adorables Sparks pour obtenir de nouvelles capacités. Le jeu se veut aussi différent dans son système de combat qui mêle tour par tour et action en temps réel. Il embarque également une caméra à 360° contrôlable par le joueur. De quoi rendre impatients les fans, qui peuvent déjà le précommander.

Dans ce jeu, la raquette devient une arme qui va vous permettre de mener à bien des missions et de venir à bout de boss puissants. La difficulté est présente et il vous faudra plusieurs heures d’entraînement pour maîtriser les combos et utiliser au mieux les différentes touches de la manette pro pour frapper la balle. Il existe d’ailleurs un mode normal qui vous autorisera à tenir le Joy-Con comme une raquette pour vous simplifier la vie. Vous êtes compétiteur ? Le mode tournoi vous enverra affronter l’IA ou d’autres joueurs en ligne dans des matchs effrénés où vous pourrez choisir parmi différents personnages pour profiter de leurs capacités. Dommage, Mario Tennis Aces est un peu court.

L’histoire de Super Mario
Le célèbre plombier a fait sa première apparition dans un jeu d’arcade en 1981 et il était charpentier. Il débarque sur console dans sa propre aventure en 1985 : Super Mario Bros. Le jeu remporte un succès phénoménal et il reste le plus vendu au monde après Tetris. Il n’en fallait pas plus pour lancer une franchise. Nintendo NES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, DS et 3DS, Wii et Wii U et plus récemment la Switch, toutes les consoles ont eu leur épisode des aventures de Mario et de ses amis. La recette est simple et efficace : un royaume aux graphismes ludiques, un ennemi puissant et des armes amusantes. Ajoutez à cela une direction artistique impeccable, des musiques qui restent dans la tête et la technique au service du confort de jeu et vous comprendrez pourquoi, plus de 30 ans après, le plombier fait toujours craquer ses fans. Plus de vingt épisodes sont déjà sortis et s’ils sont plaisants, ils ne sont pas tous restés dans les annales. Voici donc une petite liste des Super Mario à faire ou à refaire absolument, pour le plaisir ou pour rattraper le retard :
- Super Mario Bros. 2, sorti en 1988 sur la Nintendo NES. Vous vous dites qu’il a dû bien vieillir, mais c’est toujours un bonheur d’y jouer tant il a été bien réalisé. Son level design est impeccable, c’est un jeu iconique.
- Super Mario 64, sorti en 1996 sur Nintendo 64. C’est le numéro un de la plupart des fans. Cet épisode marquait le passage à la 3D de la série et c’est une réussite absolue. Il est ludique et mélange à la perfection jeu de plateforme et exploration.
- Super Mario World, sorti en 1991 sur Nintendo NES. C’est le jeu de plateforme 2D parfait et on y remarque la première apparition de Yoshi. Un incontournable.
- Super Mario Galaxy, sorti en 2007 sur Wii. Amusant et maîtrisant parfaitement la 3D, il offre énormément de challenge et une ambiance sonore impeccable. C’est le jeu de plateforme dans sa plus pure expression.
Les jeux Nintendo dérivés de Mario
Le succès de notre plombier était tel que le studio ne pouvait pas ne pas l’exploiter. Les jeux dérivés de Mario sont nombreux et la plupart sont des réussites. Le plus célèbre exemple est évidemment Mario Kart. Ce jeu de courses complètement fou ravit toute la famille et vous fera passer des moments exceptionnels avec vos amis. Vous êtes plus attiré par le combat ? Nintendo a pensé à vous et vous présente Super Smash Bros., une série où vos héros favoris s’affrontent sans merci avec des combos époustouflants. Citons enfin Mario Party, un jeu de plateau constitué de dizaines de mini-jeux et de défis pour jouer à plusieurs dans la bonne humeur.
