Giulia Grandinetti is the winner of the ninth edition of the National Photographic Award of IgersItalia, the Italian community of content creators linked to the world of promotion of the territory and the production of multimedia content.

The award - sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Rome Capital - aims to enhance creativity on social media through the best productions of amateur photographers, professionals and content creators by offering them the opportunity to express themselves and measure themselves with an ambitious project but in full freedom of theme.

“This year marks the tenth anniversary of IgersItalia - affirms

Pietro Contaldo, president of Igers Italia

- and the National Photographic Award acquires a much more intense meaning. In a moment like the one we are experiencing, it is also an opportunity for us to propose new ways of communication through visual storytelling and social media but, at the same time, to reaffirm our support to the institutions and realities with which we have been collaborating for years. ".

Giulia Grandinetti, a sociology student who through her profile combines the passion of photography with that of her studies, therefore wins the title of "Igers of the year 2021" with her shot, competing in the "Portrait" category, with the following motivation: "We have rewarded Giulia Grandinetti's photography for the expressive and emotional content contained in the portrait. The strength of the image, which manifests itself through the apparent fragility of a female body, naked, from behind, with ribs in sight and an almost pictorial use of light, reminiscent of Renaissance nudes, but with a look at contemporary photography. Through the simplicity of the lines, accompanied by an excellent composition, the portrait manages to express the torment and fragility of the human being in the contemporary world.we have also rewarded the use of Grandinetti's text, which amplifies the reading of the image and, at the same time, makes the reader more aware and involved in the history that photography contains. We live in a performance society. This situation is accentuated by social media. We are all, at the same time, actors and spectators of performances ”.
