This is the highest number of people diagnosed with omicrone in one day.
To date, 88 omicron infections have been detected in Israel throughout the country, with 78 of the verified infected with the virus abroad and ten in the country - in three different cases.
In addition, it appears that 67 of the infected are considered protected, ie those who have not passed six months from the second vaccine dose they received, from their recovery from the corona virus or who received a third vaccine dose, and 21 of them are considered unprotected.
Also, there are another 150 cases where there is a high suspicion of infection in the new strain, but the results of the flooring have not yet been received in these cases.
It should be noted that among those infected and suspected of being infected with the omicron strain, 94 developed symptoms, and 143 did not develop signs of disease.
